BLUESKI

WORK / BRENT COUNCIL

Brent Council, one of London's largest employers, contacted Blueski in November 2014 and commissioned us to revitalise the portraits needed for their upcoming Staff Awards 2014.

Working to a tight schedule we shot nearly 40 portraits on location throughout Brent.  This series of portraits captured the  nominees characters in a variety of locations which also showed the extensive roles that Brent Council's  employees fill.

This portraits were used throughout the specially produced magazine that accompanied the awards and during the awards ceremony itself.

Following on from these photo shoots we also created a bespoke Award Winner's film for Brent Civic Centre's lifts.

The film was a great way for Brent to highlight the value that they place on their employees and they recognise the important part they play within the organisation.

For the film we were very aware that the film would only be viewed on a small 4x3 screen for 10-20 seconds: the time we found was a typical lift journey at Brent Civic Centre. So we made the film with this data in mind. Each section was designed not to overload the viewer with information but to give four pieces of information as clearly and creatively:

1. That this film was about the Brent Staff Awards

2. Who the winner was

3. What they won

4. A quote to show why they won.

To achieve this we animated the photographs already shot and finally added  motion graphics  plus text elements.  By using the original  portraits we were able to add value to the project and supply Brent with extra content in a very cost effective way.
